HIKING CROW PEAK
Crow peak has become one of the most popular trails in the entire Northern Black Hills. The trail is located just south of Spearfish on Higgins Gulch Road. The trail is 6.4 miles round-trip and offers an additional half mile spur to a large ridge on the southwest side of the mountain. Recent fires have created a unique natural environment, wildlife is a frequent sight and during the spring the mountain is blanketed in beautiful wildflowers. Winter access is allowed but may not be advised. Road conditions and trail conditions can both be extremely poor during winter conditions.
